Meet little Eddie, just 5 days old! For the life of me, I can’t call him Eddie without the “little” in front of his name! He’s just too cute for words. I had the pleasure of photographing this little guy’s older sister (Lucy) for her 1st year of photographs and I can’t wait to watch this little 6 lb bundle grow this year too.

Baby pictures are one of my favorite things to do! I love all the cuteness of babies and the tiny little fingers & toes, but what I enjoy most is knowing I’m capturing a time we all, as parents, want to hold onto. The newborn stage is the one that passes by the quickest, and it feels like just a blink and they’ve grown and changed so much. I can’t tell you how worthwhile it makes my job feel to be able to freeze time a little bit and capture a memory that will be cherished and passed down for generations. It makes me smile inside!

Downtown Columbus Engagement Session

I’m pretty sure I found a new favorite spot to shoot at! I get so many couples asking for an urban look to their engagement photos and this location ended up being amazing. Thanks to Krista and Chris for being adventurous and trying it out with me! We are so excited for the wedding this fall. …and of course a huge thank you to my fabulous assistant, Katie who completely rocks at helping out with lighting. :)

We had a lot of fun in the field we found too, which gave us a completely different look!

If you give me an open wheat field, warm sunlight, and some adorable kids, I’m happy for hours. My favorite part about children’s portraits is that they have no inclination to hold back their personalities when they’re around someone new. They are who they are. I just love being able to be there with a camera to capture it all!

Re-Branding | before & after

Whew, this has been a long time coming! …at least it feels that way to me. Last August, I began thinking about rebranding, coming up with a whole new look that was more…ME. I knew I wanted something fresh, something organic & unique, something that was softer. Over the past year, we’ve made sure that everything in our product line is handmade, and so our new look also needed to have a handmade, natural feel to it, while also reflecting my personality. This was no easy feat, and took a good amount of blood, sweat, and oh yes, plenty of tears! But today, 6 months later, I’m launching my brand new look! I hope you like it. For me it’s an exciting day, that I can finally look at my brand and feel a true connection with it. We had such a fun time with Lindsay & Jason during their engagement shoot. Our original idea was to do a partial nighttime shoot downtown, but we ended up going completely off plan at the last minute, exploring parts of Westerville I had never shot at before and trying out different lighting techniques. So fun!
